Touching and being touched are essential for human existence since without physical contact, we literally wither away. We all crave to be touched and we look for ways to obtain touch through friends, companions and family. Massage therapy extends the opportunity for healing touch, and offers a safe way for us to nurture ourselves. It is a uniquely personal, healing, relaxing and nurturing experience that literally extends and even saves lives. But a new site for men who provide massage services for other men?  Why?

It is increasingly clear that greed drives too many service directories, and few are more obvious than those web services advertising massage for men.  Massage therapists who must struggle with overhead costs for training, supplies, and travel expenses are being asked to pay exorbitant fees for self-serving advertising gimmicks that are more empty promise than reality in what they produce.

A Man's Hands Organization is a cooperative effort to provide information for the public about massage therapy and all it can offer, ranging from the professionals who practice countless modalities, to those who are experienced body workers and the men who help integrate spirit, mind and body experiences.  And because we are focusing on one state and the men available with all training modalities, you can find exactly what you're seeking near your own home.

Our endeavor here is new.  But as we grow, whether you are a client or a practitioner, you can help develop this community opportunity for massage and the good health it evokes.  We hope you will return often and watch as our presence grows.  If we find it a successful model, similar programs may be developed in other regions.  For now, enjoy the Southwest and all the great massage therapists that are here to make your life a little easier and more relaxed.

Massage and the Metrosexual Male

There was definitely a time in American ultra-conservative history when male to male massage, massage given by a male massage therapist for another male, was considered by the main stream of society to be inherently homosexual.

Public thinking has matured, however, and has definitely crossed over into the world of metrosexuality. Massage by a male can be both therapeutically fulfilling as well as emotional satisfying. In the massage community therapists know that a man being sensually touched and caressed by another male is part of his inherent growth. For homosexual men, there is often a desire to sense emotional and physical connection with another male which can be satisfied by a male to male gay massage. Whether sexual, sensual, therapeutic or emotional the touch of another male can be considered healing and almost euphoric in the male homosexual community.

With the rise of the metrosexual, defined as an urban male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle, straight men are finding that it is okay to be sensually touched (not usually erotically touched) allowing themselves to receive a male to male massage without the stereotype of being considered gay.

Many centuries ago, men greatly enjoyed and were expected to pamper themselves with the finer things in life. Conservative cultures changed that, and it wasn't until recently that straight men have started spending money on such things as man-to-man massage without the feeling of being labeled a homosexual. A male man to man massage can be strong, therapeutic and in the metrosexual community, promote a strong sense of male bonding.

Whether you consider yourself heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, or metrosexual, the benefits of a sensual male massage can definitely be a real advantage in developing better self-image and a more complete holistic approach to personal spiritual health without the feeling that your sexual identity is somehow threatened.

Safety and Security Our staff is well aware of some of the massage "scams" on the internet.  Part of the mission in creating "A Man's Hands" is to help you avoid the pitfalls.  We cannot guarantee that any particular body worker will be reliable or honest.  But we can give you tips to help avoid the problems, and provide a certain amount of screening through applications.  We're here to help make your experience the healthiest and happiest possible.
